Communication Influences On Self Image Affect...

This paper explores how my intrapersonal communication impacts on self-image affect interpersonal communication. Erik Erikson, suggests that self-concept are defined as an individual’s conceptualization of his or her self (Potter Perry, 2009, p. 300). I use interpersonal skills every day to communicate and interact with my family, friends and relative. Communication influences intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships as well as the quality of lifetime of the individuals. People may recognize someone who does unhappy and not recognize they’re unhappy. In most of the time people expect someone who is unhappy to cry a lot, and have no relationship. But person’s characteristics can’t be always apparent. We may or may not be able to recognize our strength by ourselves or else feedback. So this paper will be based on knowledge from myself and others. This paper examines Conflict management style survey (Stacey Jones, 2015) in relation to become more awar e of my self-defeating behaviours related to my avoidant personality and Erik Erikson’s belief. . Erikson believed development occurred in a series of stages throughout the lifetime, with each stage being marked by some sort of developmental â€Å"crisis† (Potter Perry, 2009, p. 300).
